St. Xavier’s High School Loyola Hall is a Catholic School committed to the educational & spiritual traditions of the Society of Jesus.
The purpose of education imparted in our school is not merely to prepare the students for examination but for life itself. As we understand, education is not an end in itself, but rather a means to help a person to think and make decisions about ultimate values, one’s relationship with God, one’s personal goal and one’s commitment to others. Irrespective of one’s cast, creed and code, everyone is given equal opportunity to be a beneficiary of this institute.
Academic excellence, all round development, fostering of ethical and religious values and developing a sense of social responsibility are some of the characteristics of education imparted in Loyola Hall.
We have just completed our Platinum Jubilee and are now marching towards the centenary celebration. 100 years of service in the field of education is a big contribution to the society.
St. Xavier's is a High School for boys, [from June 2006 progressively becoming co-ed from the K.G.] managed by the Society of Jesus and recognized by the Department of Education, Gujarat State. Though a Catholic Institution, it welcomes pupils of all castes and creeds and prepares them for the Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary School Certificate Examinations. It comprises the K.G. (Kinder Garten) and Stds I-X with one parallel division having Gujarati medium and three sections having English medium as the media of instruction. Those who study through Gujarati medium have English as an additional subject. The school has Standards XI & XII of Higher Secondary, to which girls are also admitted. Std XI & XII offers Science & Commerce Streams, the latter only in English medium.
This school aims not merely at preparing it's pupils to qualify for the Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary Examinations but to develop their character and personality through graded responsibility, personal guidance and social awareness. With this vision in view and guided by the principles of the Jesuit Code of Education, the School makes a careful selection of the pupils who apply and demands high standards in ideals and attainments.
